Privacy, in plain language

Two things you should know before anything else:

1. We capture data. Building your profile means we collect and process real information about you: your words, your service record, your contact details, and how you use the platform. Everything we capture is listed below, in plain language.

2. We will never sell your data to third parties. Not your profile, not your story, not your contact information, not lists built from any of it. Not for money, and not traded for advertising. If ReelWorx is ever acquired or merged, this promise binds the new owner too.

This platform exists to connect veterans with companies through story and alignment, not to harvest data. Companies pay to be here; your data is never the product.

What we capture, exactly

Contact details: your name, email, and optional phone number. A company receives them only when you accept their interview request.
Your service record: branch, specialty, rank band, time in service, transition status, clearance if you list it, recognition, and the places you call home.
Your story, in your words: the conversation transcripts you type or speak while building your profile, and any resume text you paste or upload. If you use voice, your audio is transcribed to text and the audio itself is not kept.
Assessment responses: your answers to the Career Alignment modules and the alignment read they produce. These are yours: they show on your own screens, and on your public profile only if you turn that on.
Photos and video you choose to add to your profile. We store and play them; we do not run facial or voice recognition on them.
Usage activity: actions on the platform (views, matches, outreach, interview requests) that make matching and honest reporting work.
Site traffic: page visits with the device type and referring site. We do not store your IP address; visits are counted with a one-way scrambled key.
Company information: workspace details, role postings, and public information about companies gathered from their websites to draft their profiles.
Payments (companies only) are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.

How we use it

To build your profile or workspace and run the matching that is the product.
To translate your experience into your profile using AI. Your words are processed by our AI providers solely to run this product; we do not permit them to use your data to train their models.
To improve our alignment instruments by comparing reads against real hiring outcomes, in aggregate.
To build aggregate and de-identified insights: research, benchmarks, and reports about how military experience translates to civilian work. These never identify you, and we publicly commit to never re-identifying de-identified data and to requiring the same of anyone we share such insights with.
To show companies your story exactly the way you approved it. Employers see your profile and declared facts, never your raw assessment history.

The lines we do not cross

We do not sell personal data, ever. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, run third-party ad trackers, or build audiences for advertisers. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal, and since we sell nothing, it costs you nothing to send it.
Nothing here auto-rejects anyone. Alignment reads start conversations; humans make decisions.
We do not ask for protected-class information (religion, politics, health or disability, family status, age) and our tools are built not to. If you volunteer something personal in your story, it stays your words: we never turn it into a data field, never use it in matching, and you can edit or remove it anytime.
Sponsored education offerings are always labeled as sponsored, and clicking one shares nothing about you with the partner beyond the visit itself.

Who touches your data

A small set of service providers process data solely to run this platform, under contracts that prohibit any other use: authentication (Clerk), database hosting (Supabase), web hosting (Vercel), AI processing (Anthropic), voice transcription and narration (ElevenLabs), video hosting (Mux), and payments (Stripe). That is the whole list, and this policy updates when it changes. No one on it may sell or repurpose your data either.

Your controls

Edit any part of your profile, anytime, including every line of your story.
Control visibility: private, companies-only, or public. Nothing is public until you say so, and your alignment read stays off your public profile unless you turn it on.
Request a copy of your data, corrections, or full deletion of your account and data. Deletion removes your profile, story, and assessment history.
These controls are for everyone, in every state, not just where a law requires them.

This policy covers the MissionReady platform operated by ReelWorx. It will be refined with counsel as the platform grows; material changes will update the effective date above, and the no-sale commitment does not weaken with any revision.
