LEGAL · VERSION 2026-10.2 · EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 2, 2026

Terms of use

Plain language on purpose. These cover veterans using MissionReady: your story, your data, the emails we send, and what we promise in return. Companies have their own employer terms, and how we handle data is in the privacy policy.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ReelWorx for your use of MissionReady. By checking the box when you start, or by creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use MissionReady.

2. Free for veterans

MissionReady is free for veterans and always will be. Companies pay to be here; your data is never the product, and we never sell it.

3. Your story belongs to you

You own everything you create here: your words, your record, your photos and video. You give ReelWorx permission to store it, process it to build your profile, and show it only where your visibility settings allow. Nothing is public until you say so. You can edit your profile at any time, ask us for a copy of your data, or delete it, and deleting your account removes your profile, story, assessment history, and the photos and videos you uploaded.

4. Tell it truthfully

Your service record, credentials, and history should be accurate and your own. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, including classified, controlled, or someone else's private information, or anything that uses official military seals or insignia to suggest government endorsement. Do not use MissionReady to harass anyone, to impersonate anyone, or to collect other people's information.

5. AI helps translate; you have the final word

MissionReady uses AI to help turn your story into a profile and to translate military experience into civilian language. Ryan, the guide you talk with, is an AI, not a person. AI can get things wrong. You review and approve what your profile says, and you can change any line. Nothing the platform generates is career, legal, financial, or benefits advice; it is information to help you decide for yourself.

6. The Career Alignment Profile

The Career Alignment Profile describes tendencies, never verdicts. Your results are yours: they show on your own screens only, never on your public profile or to a company. Taking it is optional, and you can ask for an accommodation before you start (see the assessment notice).

7. Companies and opportunities

Companies decide whom they hire; MissionReady does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment. When you apply to a role, that company receives your name, your headline, and links to your profile and resume, including through its own hiring system if it has connected one. Your email and phone go to a company only when you accept its interview request, and declining is always fine. Companies on MissionReady agree to our employer terms, including equal opportunity obligations, but they are independent of ReelWorx and responsible for their own hiring decisions.

8. Voice and video

You can talk instead of type. If you do, your voice is processed by our voice provider to transcribe your answers and give the guide its voice; we do not keep the audio. Typing is always available instead. Video you record is stored and played only as your settings allow.

9. Emails and notifications

We send account and activity messages (for example, when a company asks to meet you), occasional reminders about your profile, and, if you keep it on, a weekly growth email with tips. Reminders and the growth email are capped at two emails a week combined, and every one has a one-click unsubscribe. You can change what arrives anytime in Settings. We do not send text messages.

10. Service providers

A small set of providers run parts of MissionReady for us under data-processing terms, listed in the Privacy Policy. They process your data only to run the platform.

11. Ending your account

You can close your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and we will tell you why when we can.

12. Disclaimers and limits

MissionReady is provided as is. MissionReady is not a consumer reporting agency and does not run background checks. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or any branch of the U.S. military. To the extent the law allows, ReelWorx is not liable for hiring decisions companies make, for what other people post, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived, including protections under USERRA.

13. Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you and ask you to agree again before it applies to you. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, except where the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived. To report content that infringes a copyright or breaks these terms, or if anything on MissionReady is hard to use because of a disability, email hello@missionready.jobs and a person will respond. Questions: hello@missionready.jobs.
